This will be just a out of the box review, won’t have a chance to use it as intended until the end of this week hopefully. I’m a upland bird hunter, I bought
this to power a GoPro 12 that will be on my hat with with the battery pack in the hydration sleeve of my finial rise strap vest, I have to run it without the cage because of the weight. I’m hoping that without the cage the cord stays in place plugged into the camera because without the camera being in the cage there is nothing pinching the camera connection in place. Will be doing another review after its first use

The X~PWR H9 cable will NOT stay in place without the mount frame. The cable seal must be held tigthly to the camera to ensure a positive seal. WIthout the mount frame the weight of the cable will allow it to fall out of the camera.
I haven’t been wowed by a companies customer service and high quality in a while. I will always recommend 3BR Power sports to any Go pro user! I made a mistake and bought the wrong one and they were willing to make sure I was happy , returning the one and getting the correct one. The owner is awesome. He spent a lot of time chatting back and forth to help resolve issues that didn’t even pertain to his product like the Software run down so I could plug in the USB A to my power bank. He didn’t have to but he did and I appreciate that.
I love the construction and design. But I've discovered that the Hero 9 cannot be run off of USB power alone unless it is started with a battery installed at first. Only then can the battery be removed. Is this how everyone here is using theirs? No one has mentioned that. And your side adapter does not allow for access to the battery once installed. So at this point I'm not sure how useful this will be (other than being quite rugged when I do use it with a battery and not USB). BTW GoPro has confirmed that this is the standard powering behavior of the GoPro 9

I wish you had contacted me or checked the FAQ page. There is an easy fix for the 'not enough power' message that allows you to record with the battery removed. I don't know why GoPro gave you that bad information.

This frame is outstanding! It fits the Hero9/10/11/12 and probably the 13. The quality is phenomenal, as is the H8 that I have on my Hero8. It's rugged. It allows for external power instead of just the internal battery, which prevents overheating and allows longer recording time. It has one fixed and one removable cold shoe, giving multiple accessory mounting options. A removable mount foot allows for more or less camera security based on your needs. Fair pricing and quick shipping were appreciated! I also like the fact that the screws provided are all stainless steel for weather resistance.
I purchased the iphone charger with cage and it was very strong and the camera fir perfectly. instructions were easy too. i did have some questions and they were answered immediately!
